New York Yankees news: Bombers want to void Jacoby Ellsbury’s contract (Pinstripe Alley)

New York Post | Ken Davidoff & George A. King: The New York Yankees released Jacoby Ellsbury on Wednesday without much problem, until recently. He was due $26 million in 2020, but the Yankees are now saying they will not pay him because Ellsbury went behind their backs by receiving medical treatment in Atlanta for years without the Yankees’ authorization. It seems this is just the beginning of a battle between the two parties.

MiLB.com | Sam Dykstra: With Thanksgiving approaching, there are many things that Yankees fans should be thankful for. On person at the top of the list is 16-year-old Jasson Dominguez. The outfielder is already the 66th-best prospect in all of baseball—and he hasn’t played a professional game yet. He is considered to have five-tool potential.

New York Post | Mollie Walker: The Philadelphia Phillies hired one former Yankee in Joe Girardi, and they might have another in Didi Gregorius as they’ve shown interest in the 29-year-old shortstop. He is coming off a shortened season due to Tommy John Surgery on his right elbow. The Phillies are expected to have another big offseason after adding Bryce Harper and J.T. Realmuto last year.
