Yankees 13, Twins 5: The house of horrors (simulated) (Twinkie Town)

This could have gone better.

Lewis Thorpe has been on a cold streak, and it continued today, especially in the fourth inning. Cody Stashak also had a tough outing, and worst of all, Luis Arraez suffered an injury running the bases in the fourth.

Mike Tauchman spent a bunch of time in the Rockies organization, and was one of my favorites when he played for my local Albuquerque Isotopes. I don’t like what he did tonight though. He turned on Thorpe’s third pitch of the day and put the Yankees up by a run. It was one of those cheater Yankee shots, going only 355 feet to right field. Giancarlo Stanton added another homer in the third, also for one run. That one at least went to left field, and went a normal home run distance.
